Current europlac project:
Zülpich/Tettnang. An architectural highlight with acoustic sophistication: europlac from Tettnang has completed a new prestigious project in Großarl in the Austrian Pongau region. The new Sky Lounge ‘Wolke 7' at the mountain station of the Kieserlbahn cable car shines after a comprehensive redesign with veneered acoustic panels made of ‘antique larch' in a stylish mix of timeless elegance and modern functionality.
‘Not only is it a beautiful place to look at, it's also an acoustic gem,' emphasises europlac managing director Marina Röhr. The lounge, designed with a keen sense of spatial effect, relies on the ‘INOIS® TS vario' acoustic panel system, which sets new standards in aesthetics and room comfort thanks to the variable arrangement of slats in width and spacing. The sound-absorbing elements were skilfully crafted by the Unterkofler joinery, a regional company based in Großarl. ‘The result is impressive - and, above all, audible,' Röhr continues. ‘Thanks to the veneer used, which perfectly highlights the natural beauty of the wood, a modern Alpine design with excellent room acoustics has been created.' Dirk-Uwe Klaas, Managing Director of the Veneer + Nature Initiative (IFN), is also enthusiastic: ‘High-quality sound absorption elements are particularly beneficial in heavily frequented areas today. And sustainably sourced veneer takes the whole thing to the next level in terms of appearance.' IFN/DS
Initiative Veneer + Nature (IFN)
The Initiative Furnier + Natur (IFN) e.V. was founded in 1996 by the German veneer industry and its partners. Today it is supported by European companies from the veneer industry, the trade and the veneer processing industry as well as trade associations of the wood industry. The aim of the association is to promote veneer as a natural all-round material.
